Core Technology — the EAP™ System

Silver Lake Research has developed a proprietary and unique system for the rapid and predictable generation of high-affinity antibodies to almost any target. The EAP (Enhanced Affinity Platform) process is a better, faster, and less expensive way to make antibodies. EAP has been applied to a wide range of targets, from single atoms to whole cells, and has resulted in high-affinity antibodies and immunoassays that were previously thought impossible.

The EAP™ Advantage

At the center of The EAP system is a process for inducing a completely different immune response to any given antigen. The EAP -induced antibody response is faster, more specific, and more powerful than the response induced by standard immunization protocols. The process involves modifications to both the antigen and the host animal; however, EAP can work in mice of any strain, including genetically modified mice and "humanized" mice, and also in larger animals. Silver Lake Research has optimized and enhanced The EAP System to include immunogen production modules for a wide variety of targets. The EAP System draws on a database of target characteristics and method elements, giving the fastest and most probable procedure that matches the performance requirements of the desired antibody.

Antibodies Tailored to Each Application

The EAP System is designed for delivering an antibody that matches pre-defined acceptance criteria formulated around each specific application environment. Every EAP-derived antibody is purpose-built for defined performance in diagnostics, therapeutics, research tools, and other purposes. Pre-defined acceptance criteria can include specificity profiles and affinity constants, as well as specific requirements such as blocking of function.

Faster Turnaround

The EAP system offers the twin advantages of speed and predictability. Even with a "non-immunogenic" target, Silver Lake Research has been able to start with a cDNA and a set of acceptance criteria and deliver a matching monoclonal antibody within 45 days. No other process can predictably generate high-affinity antibodies faster than EAP.
