Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems and processes in our manufacturing facilities, while enhancing, productivity, efficiency, and quality in the production of environmental and clinical diagnostic products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify areas for process improvement through automation. Utilize computer-aided design software, specifically PTC Creo (ProEngineer), to create detailed engineering designs for automated systems and components. Conduct systems simulations and rapid prototyping to validate and optimize automation concepts. Use 3D printing to create prototypes, reverse engineer existing components, and develop custom designs for manufacturing. Ensure compliance with ISO13485 standards and relevant quality management systems. Utilize MATLAB and C++ programming to develop control algorithms and software solutions for R&D experiments as well as for validation and verification. Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble electronic systems used in automation processes. Design and develop logic control systems using PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley systems and RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000.

Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical /Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field; AND 36 months experience as Automation / Product Development / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer or a related occupation. Experience using PTC Creo CAD software; rapid prototyping & systems simulations, including reverse engineering, custom part design /manufacturing; setup, configuration,  troubleshooting of 3D printing equipment; Designing, assembling, troubleshooting, repairing electronics systems; MATLAB & C++ programming; PLC programming & automation using Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000; ISO-13485 standards & quality management systems for medical devices.
