Monoclonal Antibody & Lateral Flow Assay Development

Our Product Brands

Our AquaScreen test kit is an inexpensive and highly reliable method for ensuring the quality of drinking water – be it well water or municipal water.

CURRENTLY OUT OF PRODUCTION DUE TO SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN MID-2023.

This test determines whether or not water safe to drink! Results are instant, and this test meets EPA standards to help you feel better about drinking water from any kind of underground drinking water source.

HemoTypeSC detects hemoglobin A, hemoglobin S, and hemoglobin C using highly specific monoclonal antibodies. Therefore, six different hemoglobin phenotypes can be resolved: HbAA, HbAS, HbAC, HbSS, HbSC, and HbCC.

African swine fever (ASF) is a lethal disease afflicting domestic pigs and wild boars, which is currently spreading uncontrolled across Asia, Europe, and beyond. PenCheck is an inexpensive 20-minute test to ultimately accomplish mass pen-side ASFV screening.

Asbestos was historically used for insulation in buildings and as an ingredient in a number of products. It is now known that it causes mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer with no known cure. Our AsbestoScreen test detects asbestos to help prevent further exposure.

RapidBac™Vet produces a result in less than twenty minutes, costs one-third as much as urine culture, does not require any instrumentation and correlates with urine culture.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), naturally occurring radon causes more than 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the U.S. alone – second only to cigarette smoking in the list of causes of lung cancer. Our RadonScreen test helps to detect and mitigate further exposure.

Our Technology

Enhanced Affinity Platform™ (EAP 4-Step System)

Step 1: Initial Antigen
Modification

The antigen of interest is first modified with a proprietary SLR protocol, yielding a formulation that is hundreds-to-thousands of times more immunogenic than in standard immunization protocols.

Step 2: Host Pre-
Treatment

Hosts are treated with congruent immune system modifiers, priming for recognition and response to the modified antigen.

Step 3: Immunization
Application

The modified antigen is introduced to pre-treated hosts, using a proprietary SLR protocol.

Step 4: Massive
Antibody Response

The EAP System generates antibody responses that are orders of magnitude more potent than standard yields. The resulting monoclonal antibodies are of the highest quality, sensitivity, and specificity.

About Silver Lake Research Corporation

At Silver Lake Research, we use our powerful Enhanced Affinity Platform to create diverse monoclonal antibody (MAb) panels for detection of traditionally “difficult” or non-immunogenic targets.  The EAP™ System was designed to generate a massive immune response to any target antigen – orders of magnitude more potent than standard immunization schemes.

SLR’s engineering expertise and vertical integration allow for the cost-effective development and manufacturing of simple, rapid, and highly sensitive lateral flow assay (LFA) test strips.  These LFAs bring the power of laboratory testing into the palm of your hand, for confident antigen detection, in the home or out in the field.  Importantly, the resulting rapid test kit products are affordable even in resource-constrained regions of the world.

Since 1992, SLR has been a global industry leader in MAb- and LFA-development.  Our rapid test products are sold on six continents and are being deployed by governmental organizations and NGOs for public health screening and veterinary disease surveillance.  Our outstanding track record of success in contract development projects makes us a trusted resource for the government and private industry partners.  We look forward to collaborating with your group to develop the next important rapid test.
